Claire Aldous – Food Editor, Dish

Claire Aldous has been Food Editor of Dish magazine since the magazine launched in 2004. In each issue she creates inspiring and accessible recipes using seasonal produce.
Her career in food began as a teenager, when she demonstrated a Mother’s Day brunch in the New Zealand Herald newspaper in 1969.
During her subsequent 30 years in the food industry Claire has been a private chef, attended Cordon Bleu and ran her own catering company. She gained many fans while heading the cook school at Auckland’s Epicurean Workshop where she taught and worked with the guest chefs for many years.
Claire now enjoys sharing her love of good food in a variety of styles and cuisines with the readers of Dish.
